RC: Yes indeed, Rock Circus has come
down to Club Laga to check out a
real phat, tight band, kick ass out
of Cleveland Ohio. This is my man Skinny.
Skinny: Wasup?
RC: J-Man
J-Man: What's happening?
RC: He's got some phat ass vocals.
J-Man: Thank you.
RC: And Gravy baby, he's got some phat ass rifs he kicks
out.
Gravy: Phat Ass!
RC: There the bomb and all that. So I just bought this
yesterday and you were telling me it's gonna be a
collector's item because it's the one on Eclipse and
you're on a different label?
J-Man: It's definately out of print. It's a different mix
than the one that's out on Universal.
RC: What did you just can Steve Feldman's producer work
all together or did you take it from the 2 inch.
J-Man: No
Skinny: All the production's still the same it's just mixed
by a different guy.
RC: And you added 3 songs?
Skinny: Yes.
RC: And that makes the package more complete. Now I wanted
to ask you about the hidden track, track 43, it's
like 10 minutes of just crazy stuff. That's like 2nd
or 3rd favorite jam on the CD, is there a title for
it?
Skinny: No it's just a hidden track, it just shows another
side of us. You know were not evil and spooky all the
time. We like to have fun too yah know.
RC: Was the phone call real or was that fake?
Skinny: Oh it's real.
RC: That's real, that's some good ****!
J-Man: It's only on that record too, it's not on the Universal
record yet. We're a little nervous about lawsuits,
prank calls are a touchy subject yah know.
RC: Now I wanted to ask you about Never Let it Go.
That's a real cool ass track. What's that about?
J-Man: That's just about passion. About not letting go of
your ethnics, your morals, your state of mind. Just
being yourself and not being influenced by other
people.
RC: Yah I dig it. I think it would make an ecellent video.
I'm just trying to persuade you a little bit. On this
video you haf Mr. Dean Carr who did Marilynn Manson.
J-Man: Yah, he's great.
RC: You had the trojan jack rabbit. Was that his concept?
J-Man: Absolutely. Yah, he's a twisted man. Where not sure
where it came from, I don't think we really wanna know
where it came from.
Skinny: He's a pretty twisted guy. We asked, he didn't tell
us, and that was even better.
RC: Two day shoot?
Skinny: Yah, 2 days.
RC: Are you guys ever photographed with your masks and
makeup off?
(Skinny shakes his head no)
RC: Keep it all stealth?
Skinny: Always man.
RC: Is there a reason?
Gravy: We're horribly disfigured we're emberassed to be
seen in public.
J-Man: Actually the fact of the matter is we're just far
to handsome and we don't want get grouped in with
N Sync and all those other bands.
Gravy: The truth is we're just trying to let some other
bands get a chance to get some chics too.
RC: Now do you have sex with the masks and makeup on?
J-Man: (jokingly)With eachother?
RC: No with females or whatever you prefer?
J-Man: No No...
RC: They're the lucky few who get to see you.
Skinny: Well things are different at my house.
RC: Are you guys bummed you didn't get asked to play the
Olympics?
J-Man: No, not really.
RC: No man I was just kidding. I just thought that would
be great, like hey, here's some American f***ing
music...
Skinny: Well now that you mention it, I am. What the f***!
RC: Well maybe you can play at the summer Olympics, like
a metal fest or something.
J-Man: That would be good, the summer Olympics. The clothes
are a little skimpier, they get down.
RC: Any big plans for summer? Any movies, soundtracks?
J-Man: We just did a soundtrack for The Scorpian King,
it's the 3rd edition of The Mummie movies, with the
Rock. You know the WWF guy. We got a brand new song
on that, that comes out like the 26th of March on
Universal records. It's got new songs from us, System
of a Down, Godsmack, Creed, a lot of good bands.
RC: Cool, keep an eye out for that. Why did you go with
the title Double X.
J-Man: Actually it's all about the eyes (points to the 2
X's over the eye's on Skinny's mask).
RC: Well that's simple enough. Thanks guys for being on
